PUBLIC HEALTH AMERICORPS

ABOUT THE LEEZA GIBBONS MEMORY FOUNDATION

Our mission is to help family caregivers cope with Alzheimer’s & chronic illness through tips, strategies, & support.

The Leeza Gibbons Memory Foundation (LGMF) is a nonprofit organization with a grant from Public Health AmeriCorps — AmeriCorps and Center for Disease Control’s new national service program - to help increase support for caregivers of loved ones with Alzheimer’s or other dementia related illnesses. You could join us!

We need 20 AmeriCorps members to  help us build a community that is healthier, stronger, and more resilient. AmeriCorps members serve at LGMF sites located at Leeza’s Care Connection and HUGS (Helping U Grow Strong) sites across the country.  You could serve with us in California, South Carolina, New Hampshire, Texas or Tennessee!

ABOUT PUBLIC HEALTH AMERICORPS

AmeriCorps, the federal agency for volunteering and national service, provides opportunities for Americans to serve their country domestically, address the nation’s most pressing challenges, improve lives and communities, and strengthen civic engagement.

Last year, in a new partnership with the Centers for Disease Control, Public Health AmeriCorps was launched!  These members focus on improving the social determinants of health and increasing the number of Americans working in Public Health.
