Rising Light Ridge will, Lord willing, be a year-round ministry center where all participants, regardless of background or ability, will experience profound growth physically, mentally and spiritually in an environment designed to celebrate that which unites us all as children of God and image bearers.

Rising Light Ridge will be located in Bear Creek Township, Pennsylvania, just outside Wilkes-Barre, PA

No, Rising Light Ridge is currently under development, currently in the design stage.

Q. When will Rising Light Ridge open?

We currently plan to open Rising Light Ridge in stages as facilities and staffing allow. Our current timeline calls for the launch of rustic, platform tent camping programs in the Summer of 2021, with additional programs being added in the Fall of 2022 and Summer of 2023.

Q. What programs will Rising Light Ridge have when fully operational?

Rising Light Ridge plans to support the following programs:

• Weekly summer residential camping
• Weekend retreats in spring and fall
• Community based events throughout the year
• Training and educational events
• Animal assisted programs, incorporating both equine and canine programs
• Family respite programs

Q. Can I visit Rising Light Ridge prior to opening?

At this time we are not scheduling visits to the campus but hope to begin in the near future

Q. How is Covid-19 affecting Rising Light Ridge?

Rising Light Ridge is committed to following all health and safety directives and all Executive Orders issued by the state of Pennsylvania. As such, we will not be launching programs this summer and are practicing social distancing amongst our team. We are staying up to date on all directives and adjusting our plans and procedures as necessary.
